Week 4 | Starting to Teach

This week was a hoot. Except for the fact that I'm having to retype my entire email again, just know the last one was better.

We finally found someone to teach, his name is Talent and he has pretty much learned all the lessons already. We're just going over the stuff he was taught, because he hasn't been taught in like 6 months. He is a really smart kid. His parents don't want him to get baptized though. So all we can do is keep teaching him and pray that they change their minds.

Christmas was awesome though, my mom sent me some awesome stuff, the fruit snacks were gone before the 27th, but they don't have fruit snacks here, it's so dumb. And my companion gave me a dope greenstone necklace. Mine is called a Patu, and it symbolizes overcoming life's challenges or something, I forgot. It was an awesome way to kick off the mission for sure.

Anyway, back to the good stuff. Some elders in our district blew a tire and they don't know how to change a tire. And of course my companion knows everything about cars and had to make it perfect. I wasn't in bed until after 11. I was dead tired the next morning, but at least I have another memorable experience. Not as memorable as drawing the narwhal from elf on the whiteboard at the MTC but it's up there. I hope everyone else had an amazing week. Take care
